I had a little accident. It’s not a big deal. I’m pretty chill when things like this come up, my girlfriend on the other hand freaks out. I went to a party with her. It was a really nice place. Not the kind of party I’m used to to be honest. All I need is a keg of beer and a football game to have a good time. Hang out with a few friends and I’m set.

This was one of those networking parties. It was a party with a bunch of people who worked with my girlfriend. There were also a handful of people that were associated with other businesses. But of course they served drinks. Well I had a few drinks, not too many. But the place was pretty hard to move in. I went to get some food, I bumped into a guest and tripped into a table where I broke, what I later found out, was a set of really expensive dinnerware.

I just keep showing up to work everyday. And my old boss just keeps looking at me when I show up and sit down in my desk and says “you’re not getting your job back” and then I tell him “Really why not?” He says “Paul, get over it, I fired you five months ago” and then I tell him “yeah but I thought you might need me back.” And he says “not today” to which I reply “OK see ya tomorrow then” and leave. I’ve been living at my parents in Evergreen for the past three months.

It’s not right for a thirty two year old man to be living with his parents. That’s why I found a place in Downtown on Barnard and Pomona. It’s a little apartment and I’d be sharing it with a friend but it’d be worth getting out on my own. I need to find money for a security deposit though. I can’t afford it because I have bad credit but I kept looking.
